Information to give
When booking, give the language (and dialect if needed), date, time, exact address, expected length and type of appointment. The more precise the request, the easier it is to find the right interpreter.
Share the context
If documents will be discussed, send them in advance where possible: summons, report, contract. The interpreter can then prepare the vocabulary. Everything stays confidential.
During the meeting
Speak directly to the other person, not to the interpreter, and use short sentences. The interpreter faithfully conveys what is said, without adding anything or giving an opinion.
Book in good time
Let us know as soon as you know the date. For an urgent appointment, call us directly: we will tell you straight away whether it is possible.
These guides give general guidance. The precise requirements are always set by the authority handling your request.
